Founded in 1947 by Robert Deret then greatly expanded by his son Lucien, Groupe DERET is now represented by Lina Deret, who is the Managing Director. The head offices are near Orléans. The family business, which became Groupe DERET in 2024, operates in five areas: transport, logistics, packaging, property and hospitality, through 6 brands:

Groupe DERET employs 7,000 people and has a turnover of 500 million euros. Now the 6th largest logistics group in France, Groupe DERET operates over 2 million square metres of space in 70 warehouses, and owns 13 transport agencies, as well as 14 hotels and 4 restaurants.
